This Privacy Policy explains how Fabtales (“we,” “us”) collects and uses information when you use our website and personalized storybook service (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

We collect:

• Account information — name, email address, and basic profile details from Google sign-in.
• Family profiles — details you provide about your child and family (such as names, age, relationships, strengths, interests, and similar personalization inputs).
• Photos — photos you upload so we can create illustrated likenesses in stories.
• Generated content — stories, illustrations, and audio created for your account, plus reading activity and optional feedback.
• Technical data — basic session and device information needed to run and secure the Service (such as IP address and browser type).

We use this information to:

• Create and deliver personalized storybooks for your family
• Operate, secure, and improve the Service
• Respond to support requests and send service-related notices
• Scan or monitor uploads and generated content to enforce our Acceptable Use policy, prevent abuse, and protect child safety

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your photos or stories to train our own AI models. Content may be processed by third-party AI providers solely to generate your stories, illustrations, and narration.

We use trusted providers to operate the Service. They receive only what is needed for their role:

• Cloudflare — hosting, database, and media storage
• Google — sign-in (OAuth), face detection, and AI story/image generation
• ElevenLabs — text-to-speech narration

When configured, we may also use Hotjar (usage analytics) and Sentry (error monitoring). Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms.

Fabtales is for parents and guardians. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Child details and photos are provided by a parent or legal guardian and used only to personalize stories.

Parents may review, update, or request deletion of their child’s information by managing it in the Service or contacting us at help@fabtales.app.

We keep account data, photos, and generated stories while your account is active so we can provide the Service. You may delete photos and family details in the product. To delete your account and associated data, contact us at help@fabtales.app. We will remove data from systems we actively use within a reasonable period, except where we must retain records for legal or security reasons. Backup copies may persist briefly before being purged.

You can access and update profile information in the Service, choose what to upload, and request deletion as described above. If you share a story with another user, they can view that story; your original photos remain private to your account.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted transport and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and post the new version on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
